REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian state-owned oil and gas company, Pertamina, predicts that the stock of subsidized fuel will run out sooner since subsidized fuel restriction program is no longer implemented. Pertamina officially announced on Sunday that the program has been stopped since November 19.

"The program gave some impacts towards people. People were lining up in several gas stations. The situation also trigers horizontal conflicts in some area," Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Ali Mundakir, said on Monday.

However, without the restriction, Ali predicted that the stock would run out on December 24. Thus, he urged every related party to focus seeking long term solution to this problem.

On the initial state budget 2012, the quota of subsidized fuel was 40 million kl. Then in September 2012, it became 44.04 million kl. Pertamina is responsible to supply 43.9 million kl, divided into 27,8 million kl premium, 14,9 million kl diesel fuel, and 1,2 million kl kerosene.

Until November 20, the realization of subsidized fuel distribution has reached 24.9 million kl premium, 13.7 million kl diesel fuel, and 1.1 million kl kerosene.
