REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Iran has set a target to export 200 thousand barrels per day of crude oil to Indonesia, according to Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Ali Taiebnia.
"Iran can export more than 200 thousand barrels of crude oil per day to Indonesia if the country needs," the minister noted here on Wednesday.
Taiebnia remarked that Iran and Indonesia were committed to boosting crude oil trade between both nations to meet the latter's demand.
"The Iranian and Indonesian governments are ready and willing to work together, so both parties can trade crude oil and benefit from each other," the minister affirmed.
The trade of crude oil between the two countries will encourage other forms of commodity trading as well as help to promote cooperation to boost other sectors.
"We are willing to expand cooperation with Indonesia in the economic sector in various potential fields," he remarked.
Taiebnia added that the oil and gas sector was a driving force that can encourage growth in other sectors of the economy.
