REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - After handing over his title as Jakarta's Governor, Fauzi Bowo is scheduled to depart for Berlin, Germany. He is appointed as a speaker in ASEAN and European Union Capital Cities Forum.

"I will deliver general lecture in ASEAN and European Union Capital Cities Forum. It is very important because the event can be utilized to exchange information and knowledge between capital city leaders from ASEAN and European Union," he said on Monday.

The forum, created two years ago, is a place to gather capital city leaders in ASEAN and European Union. Fauzi Bowo, or known as Foke, is expected to tell his experiences in leading Jakarta for five years.

In the schedule, Foke will be in Germany for a week. He will visit Berln, Stuttgart, and Koln. Foke took his master degree at Technische Universitat Braunschweig and doctoral degree in Technische Universtat Kaiserslautern, both in Germany.
