REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The 33rd ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly in Senggigi, Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB), on 16-22 September 2012 will discuss and generate several agreements.

"We will discuss on some regional issues," the Chairman of Council for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation (BKSAP) of Indonesian House of Representatives, Surahman Hidayat, said on Sunday night.

AIPA, with the theme strengthening parliamentary roles toward ASEAN Community in 2015, is begun with the meeting of Women Parliamentarian of AIPA (WAIPA) as an effort to support gender equality and women empowerment, while the first session held on 18 September will be attended by four committees discussing politics, economy, social, and AIPA reorganization.

Dialogue session with parliament observers and Joint Communique will be also held on the same day. The second session of AIPA will be started by tour on 20 September to give every delegate an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Lombok Strait.

"We give our best effort to present this historical event," Hidayat said.
