REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) of West Java Province has officially sent two names to advance in the elections for Governor and Deputy Governor of West Java next November to the PKS DPP. They are Depok Mayor Mohammad Idris and DPW Chairman PKS Jabar Haru Suandharu.
“The PKS has applied for the elections in Jabar there is Kiai Idris Mayor of Depok for two terms he is willing and I am due to obligation as chairman of DPW,” said DPW Chairman PKS Jabar Haru Suandharu at the Silaturahmi event of PKS members and sympathizers at Sport Arcamanik, Sunday (19/5/2024).
He said both names have been submitted to DPP PKS to decide on the name that will be carried in the Jabar elections later. Haru continued to have conducted political communications with a number of political parties.
He said all political parties expressed a desire to form a coalition with the MCC. Soon, he said there would be an agreement on a coalition in the Jabar Pilgub. “If Jabar should be a coalition,” he said.
Haru added the MCC for the election of the Mayor of Bandung itself had proposed two names to the PKS DPP. They are Siti Muntamah or known as Ummi, wife of the late Mang Oded and Asep Mulyadi.
By winning 11 seats in Bandung City Parliament, he said the party would determine which party it coalesced with, including looking at which candidate would be promoted to deputy and could bring victory to the MCC.
Bandung City PKS DPD Chairman Ahmad Rahmat Purnama said the party had currently submitted two names submitted to DPP PKS to advance as a candidate for Mayor of Bandung. They are currently required to socialize to the community.
“For now we, God willing, will take Bandung 1 (mayor) not Bandung 2 (deputy mayor) it's instructions,” he said.
The party gave two names to the problems that must be solved in Bandung City, namely congestion, garbage, jobs, flooding and clean water.
