Nuh: Smooth preparations for national exams

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TANGERANG - The Minister of Education and Culture, Mohammad Nuh, has said preparations for national examinations have been proceeding smoothly, including the sending of the examination materials to the regions. A national examination for SMA (senior high school) and SMK (senior high vocational school) will be conducted nationwide on April 16-19, 2012. 

"Based on the reports I have received all preparations, including the sending of examination materials to remote villages went well and smoothly," the minister said on Sunday, when conducting an impromptu inspection to SMAN 6 (senior high school) in South Tangerang. 

The minister was conducting a sudden inspection a the SMAN 6 in South Tangerang because the school served as the center for the examination materials for South Tangerang. The room used to store the examination materials was closed and padlocked. The room keys were held by police.

Minister M Nuh said that he was conducting the impromptu inspection to assure that the examination would proceed fairly without any leakage. "I always remind that there are three criteria that should be met for the organization of an national examination, namely the accuracy of the number of exam papers, the accuracy of time the examination is held and the accuracy of the subjects of the examinations," the minister said.
