Police must evaluate its security system: IPW

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Presidium of Indonesian Police Watch (ICW) Neta S Pane said terror to North Sumatra Police headquarters should be a lesson for National Police. He said the attackers entered easily and terrorized the police headquarter. 

Neta adviced the police to evaluate he national security system of police station in Indonesia.

"Do all police stations have CCTVs? Did the officers on duty awake of sleeping? Did not the police held patrols to take care of the headquarters?” said the Presidium of Indonesian Police Watch (ICW) Neta S Pane in a short message to Republika.co.id on Tuesday (June 27).

Development of police station security system is needed to keep the reputation of police institution. "If police could not protect its own headquarters, how would it protect the societies?" Neta asked.

On Sunday (June 25), two suspected terrorists attacked North Sumatera Police postal guard in Medan at 03.00 am. A policeman, Martua Ginting, died on the incident.
