REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG - It was never imagined for the students of SMAN 6 Bandung to have a memorable experience with terrorist. They were Lupy Muhamatullah, Muhammad Syafii Nurhikmah, and some students who tried to chase the suspected bomber at Pandawa Park, Bandung.
They told to reporters how low explosive bomb was exploded near the gym location at Pandawa Park, Arjuna, Cicendo, Bandung. Around 08.00 am, about 100 students of SMAN 6 Bandung were having gymnastic class.
"When we learned how to play baseball, we immediately heard an explosion. We were confused. Later on, we knew there was a terrorist," Lupy said to reporters at school.
Lupy was stood near the splatter stuffs like pan, nails, money, and a copy of ID card. People shouted at a man wearing black jeans and black rumpled jacket with curly hair. "He was alone," he said.
In the second explosion which the sound was three times louder than the first one, the man was fall. He looked like fainted for a while. After awaking, he stood and ran away. Lupy and Fii immediately pursued him. They were followed by their friends.
However, they kept the distance with the suspected bomber, because the terrorist had took a knife. The man entered the local office near Pandawa Park.
The man made employees and local societies inside the building shocked. "We asked the people to go out," said Lupy.
The suspected bomber was hiding on the second floor. Fii said he did not recognize a danger. He was five meters away from the man when he asked him to fight one by one. The man entered a room while Fii was on the door.
"I asked him to duel. He said, 'Come on if you dare'. I said, 'Come on, but take off your knife,'" he said to the suspect.
His intention to defend the nation made him and his friends willingly to find all risks. The only one he thought was to chase him.
Laterly, the police came. The students saw police officer made a negotiation with the man.
