VP Jusuf Kalla says no country free from terror

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAKASSAR -- Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla said the bomb terror not only occurred in Indonesia but also in the world. According to him, no country could free from terror bombing.

"Terror could occur everywhere, no country could free from these things whether in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, even America," Jusuf Kalla said in Makassar, South Sulawesi on Monday.

Jusuf Kalla appreciated the performance of police and military personnel handled the terror. Moreover, Indonesia has large area so the movement of terrorists was very broad.

"Our country was wide, but do not forget the national police's counterterorrism unit (Densus 88) and soldiers were working very well," Kalla said.

A bomb blast occurred at Pandawa Park, Arjuna Village, Cicendo Sub-district, Bandung, West Java. A perpetrator was killed after a shootout at the Arjuna Village Office.

Perpetrator as man with initial YY. Jusuf Kalla affirmed, a bomb blast in Bandung was not associated with the coming of the King Salman of Saudi Arabia.
