Explosion Hits Pandawa Park in Bandung

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- A low explosive bomb exploded at Pandawa Park in Bandung on Monday. The suspected bomber was hiding into government office and set fire on the second floor.

West Java Provincial Police Chief Inspector General Anton Charliyan said, the man entered the local office and asked police officer to release prisoners held by Densus 88.   "The suspect hides into Arjuna district office," he said.

Later on, a sound of gunfire shot was heard.  Police exchanging fire with man inside.  A witness said, the explosion sounded very loud like a big firecracker.

No one had been hurt and everyone had been evacuated from the building.
