REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung revealed that Jakarta's public transport system was ranked 17th best in the Time Out 2025 survey version. According to him, Jakarta only loses to Singapore in ASEAN in terms of public transport.
Pramono said the Time Out survey was conducted by sampling about 18,000 people from 50 countries. As a result, Jakarta was ranked in the top 17 of the international institution's version.
“Jakarta is now out of 50 countries, 18 thousand surveyed, it is number 17,” he said in Senen area, Central Jakarta, Monday (8/9/2025).
With this result, Jakarta became the number two city in Southeast Asia with the best public transportation system. Jakarta lost only to Singapore.
“In ASEAN after Singapore, so we are better than Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Bangkok, and so on,” he said.
According to Pramono, Time Out is an institution that has worldwide credibility. Therefore, the results of the institute's survey are not a thing of the origin.
“Hopefully with this we are together, let's take care of Jakarta, it can be better. It is no longer ranked 17th, but it can be more than that,” he said.
