REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Police identified 15 people as suspects from the case of the discovery of bodies in Kali Bekasi, exactly behind Masjid Al Ikhlas Housing Pondok Gede Permai RT004/RW008, Jatirasa, Jatiasih, Bekasi City. Of these, some of them carried sharp weapons.
“A total of 15 people were identified as suspects and three of them for carrying sajam (sharp weapons),” Metro Jaya Police Chief Irjen Pol Karyoto told reporters in Kali Bekasi, Bekasi City, West Java, Sunday (September 22, 2024).
Karyoto said until now it had asked for comments from witnesses and people actually involved in the incident. Regarding the discovery of the sharp weapon, the police are still investigating whether the item really exists so that if it is properly found, it can proceed to the stage of the case. “If he is ready to fight, he must bring tools,” he said.
Even so, he confirmed, until now the party could not conclude about the incident, because it was collecting various information. One of the highlights is that this group rented themselves to the river, because of fear of police patrols. “I say that the patrol is not wrong, because indeed this patrol is at 03.00 pm. If a normal person is in that state of those hours of course they are at rest,” he said
Karyoto said he was also concerned about the incident. In the future, Polda Metro Jaya will involve Propam Mabes Polri and Kompolnas.
As previously reported, residents found 7 bodies floating in Kali Bekasi, exactly behind Masjid Al Ikhlas Permai Housing Pondok Gede Permai RT004/RW008, Jatirasa, Jatiasih, Bekasi City on Sunday morning at 6:00pm and reported at 7:00 pm.
Police said the discovery of the seven bodies was allegedly due to a scuffle. Moreover, at that time the police were on patrol to prevent the event.
