REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) encourages the distribution of People's Business Credit (Kredit Usaha Rakyat/KUR) to continue to increase every year.
BRI Micro Business Director Supari said that throughout 2023, BRI has distributed KUR worth IDR 163.3 trillion to 3.5 million debtors. The majority of KUR distribution is for the production sector.
"In 2024, BRI will become the largest KUR distributor with an allocation of IDR 165 trillion," Supari said, Saturday (April 20, 2024).
In accordance with the government mandate, the KUR program aims to increase and expand access to financing for productive businesses; increasing the competitive capacity of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs); and encourage economic growth and employment.
Supari is optimistic that BRI will be able to distribute the KUR in 2024. This optimism is stand on the strategy that BRI has prepared to accelerate customer advancement and expand the reach of new recipients.
"BRI is always consistent in providing capital support for MSME and providing assistance to customers in product development and digitalization," he added.
BRI promises to continue to provide support to micro entrepreneurs in facing challenges in marketing aspects and competition with large entrepreneurs. With the realization of KUR in early 2024, BRI is optimistic that it can achieve its KUR distribution target this year by implementing a sustainable business strategy. BRI's micro business strategy in 2024 will focus on empowerment before financing. BRI has an empowerment framework that starts from the basic phase, integration, to interconnection.
