REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Ragunan Wildlife Park, South Jakarta ensures that during Ramadan 1445 Hijriyah remains open for tourists.
“For normal operating hours are from 07.00 WIB to 16.00 WIB,” said the Staff of Services and Public Relations (Public Relations) of Ragunan Wahyudi Bambang Wildlife Park in Jakarta, Sunday (10/3/2024).
According to him, during Ramadan 1445 Hijri, it still remains open for visiting tourists who will tour the zoo. Bambang said that at the moment it has not issued an official change of operating hours because it is still under discussion.
He explained that for sure the working hours of Ragunan zoo employees during Ramadan have changed from normal because it adapts to the existing regulations.
“The operating hours will be informed later via Ragunan's social media. But for the employees' working hours were changed to 08.00 WIB until 15.00 WIB,” he said.
Bambang added that on March 11 and 13, 2024 Ragunan Wildlife Park is not closed because it coincides with joint leave. He explained that Ragunan Wildlife Park will close on Wednesday (13/3/2024) for animal holidays instead of Monday (11/3/2024).
“On this day the number of tourists visiting Ragunan Wildlife Park reached 14,819,” he said.
Earlier, the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta temporarily closed the night entertainment venues and massage venues ahead of Ramadan 1445 Hijriyah. Head of DKI Jakarta Disparekraf Andhika Permata said that a number of types of businesses will be set their operational hours during Ramadan to honor the implementation of the holy month and Eid al-Fitri in 1445 H/2024 A.D. Certain types of businesses or
subtypes must close on one day before Ramadan and the first day of Ramadan. Then, one day before Eid al-Fitr or the night of thanksgiving, the first and second days of Eid al-Fitr and the night of Nuzul Quran.
The rules regarding the hours of operation and type of business are set out in Circular Number E-0003/SE/2024 on the Organization of Tourism Business
in the Holy Month of Ramadan and the Eid al-Fitr Day of 1445 H/2024 A.D. The circular describes tourism businesses that must be closed on one day before Ramadan until the third day of Eid
al-Fitr, namely night clubs, discos, steam baths, and massage houses.
