REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Cheating is a bad and chronic disease if it has taken hold of the Muslim community. If the deceiver has infected the body of society, know that he began to gnaw his limbs and crack the structure of his buildings. Then the consequence is a great loss.

Abu Hurairah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) passed a piece of food and put his hand into it. But his fingers felt that something was wet. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) asked, “Is this, O possessor of food?” The owner of the food replied, “He was hit by rainwater, O Messenger of Allah.”

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Why don't you put this wet one on the top so that people can see it? Whoever deceives, he is not one of my kind.” (H.R. Muslim and Abu Daud)

According to the words of the Prophet Muhammad, it is clear that cheating is a big thing and very bad as a result. Because, deception can lead the culprit to quit Islam.

The phrase of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) is often used for very ugly problems that cause the culprit to fall into dangerous things. This is also feared to cause disbelief.

Cheating forms are manifold, among the deceptive forms one of which is a leader who deceives his people.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “It is not that a person who is appointed by Allah to lead a people dies when he deceives his people, but Allah forbids him Paradise. In one story, “But he did not explain his deception with his counsel (his words), so he would not smell the fragrance of heaven. (Muttafaq alaihi, agreed Imam Bukhari and Muslim Imam)

In the book The Apostle's Will for Men written by Muhammad Khalil Itani translated by Ahmad Shakirin published AQWAM, 2013. It is explained that the people and their wealth are trusts that are on the shoulders of the government held by the leaders of the government. Therefore, leaders should always try to prevent anything that jeopardizes their principles and concerns and brings about something useful.

Thus, leaders are required to plunge into the midst of society and look at their situation in order to know the diseases and problems that are occurring. For example, poverty, stupidity, fraud, and so on, to be later treated. This is the duty of the leader, which is to fight fraud.

But if a leader deceives his people, then as explained in the hadith above, Allah forbids Paradise against a leader who dies deceiving his people.
