REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) said that the Whoosh Fast Train ticket promo program, which is only sold at Rp 150 thousand, has helped increase the visits of Jakarta people to a number of tourist sites in Bandung.
In addition to ticket promotions, KCIC also provides promotions for passengers in the form of free entry to tourist destinations Hamsun Bambu, Farmhouse, Floating Market Lembang, and The Great Asia Africa.
KCIC President Director Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi explained that the presence of this promo with tourist destinations in Bandung received a good response from passengers. This is evidenced by the large number of passengers who have taken advantage of the promos provided to visit popular tourist destinations in the Bandung Raya region.
“Since Whoosh was operational and the tourist destination promo was opened, the number of passengers who took advantage of the promotion has reached more than 2,500 passengers,” said Dwiyana, Sunday (29/10/2023).
He explained that for people who want to get this promo, just show the Whoosh Fast Train ticket in the form of both physical and QR Code to the attendant at the tourist destination that has cooperated with KCIC.
However, one ticket is only valid for one person and can be used to all destinations listed. The ticket is valid until H+15 after the departure of the Whoosh Fast Train journey. The promo program is valid until October 2024.
Dwiyana mentioned that cooperation with this tourist destination indirectly increases the number of tourist visits in Bandung and its surroundings. This is one proof that the presence of the Whoosh Fast Train not only helps people's mobility but also impacts economic and tourist movements.
“In addition to business people and students, tourists are also one of the target markets of the Whoosh Fast Train. Many passengers travel to Bandung on the same day by taking the early morning train from Halim, and returning by night train from Padalarang or Tegalalur,” he said.
In addition, there are also passengers who return on different days, where this will also help in terms of increasing hotel occupancy in the Bandung area. “The many restaurants, cafes, and culinary tours are also helped by the presence of Whoosh. This is evident from the large number of passengers who bring Bandung souvenirs during the trip, or post their activities while having lunch in Bandung, and returning to Jakarta in the afternoon or evening,” he said.
Dwiyana mentioned, KCIC is currently preparing cooperation with various tourist destinations and other agendas that will later get special promos by showing tickets for Train Quick Whoosh.
He said that KCIC also continues to be open to parties who want to collaborate in terms of improving service to passengers and positively impact the economy and tourism of the region.
