REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PALEMBANG -- Defense Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu reminded all components of the nation to be aware of the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI) revival. He stated that during his working visit to Palembang, South Sumatra, on Monday (Jan 21).
"The rebellions of PKI have occurred for three times in Indonesia, so we should prevent and be aware of it," he remarked.
Ryacudu said he did not know the exact number of PKI supporters in Indonesia. However, he believes that PKI might try to drag sympathy and the community could be incited.

"If they are really incite the people, knock them in the head. Just bust them," he reiterated.
Ryamizard explained that communism is a latent danger. He said that communism is not suitable in Indonesia as it is not inline with the state's ideology, Pancasila.
"We are not against Communism. If it is in China or Russia, it's ok. We are against the rebellion of PKI," he stated.
