REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesian President General (Purn) Prabowo Subianto led the Second-Second Commemoration Ceremony of the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia in the courtyard of Merdeka Palace, Central Jakarta, Sunday (17/82025). This historic momentum is also the 80th anniversary of Indonesia's independence, which this year carries the theme “Berdaulat Berdaulat, Peoples Prosperous, Indonesia Advances.

“The ceremony began with the report of Commander of Ceremonies Colonel Inf Amril Hairuman Tehupelasury to President Prabowo as inspector of ceremonies. Shortly thereafter, the thump of the cannon seventeen times, accompanied by the sound of a long siren, echoed to mark the start of the Second-Second Warning of the Proclamation.

The solemn moment occurred when Prabowo read directly the text of the proclamation that 80 years ago was proposed by Proclaimant Sukarno. After the reading, RI 1 led all the participants of the ceremony to pray in memory of the heroes' services.

Next, Religious Minister Nasaruddin Umar guided the recitation of the prayer, presenting the atmosphere of the shah in the courtyard of the Merdeka Palace. The procession continued with the raising of the Red and White flag by Pasukan Pengibar Bendera Pusaka (Paskibraka) Team “Indonesia Bersovereign.

“Bianca Alessia Christabella Lantang, representative of North Sulawesi, is believed to be carrying the Red and White flag. He was accompanied by El Rayyi Mujahid Faqih from East Kalimantan as a formation officer, Farrel Argantha Irawan from DKI Jakarta as a draughtsman, and Arka Bintang Is'adkauthar from East Java as Group Commander 8.
