REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PEKANBARU -- Riau Police has not given a deadline for families of suspected terrorists killed during their attack to Riau Police Headquarters on last Wednesday (May 16). They still give time for families to take the bodies of four perpetrators.
According to Riau Police spokesman Sunarto, at the day of attack, police could not release the bodies due to process of identification and examination. However, currently identification process has been completed and families of suspected terrorists may take the bodies.
"We are now waiting for their families, said Sunarto on Friday (18/5).
A total of four bodies of terror suspect are still at RS Bhayangkara Riau Police (hospital). Police said they are still waiting for confirmation from families.
Police has been conducting further investigation on the attack to Riau Police Headquarters that made one police member died. The suspects have been identified as PG (23) from Dumai, AS (23) from Dumai, SU (28) from Sungai Sembilan, and MR (48) from Bangun Sari.
On Wednesday (May 16) morning, a policeman, namely Auzar, died in an attack to Riau Police Headquarters. He was hit by a minivan drove by suspected terrorist who tried to break in the enterance gate of the office.
Meanwhile, one police member, namely Farid Abdullah suffered stab wound. He currently is undergoing medical treatment at Bhayangkara Riau Police Hospital, Riau Police spokesman Sunarto said on Wednesday.
