Jokowi motivates pediatric cancer survivors

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BOGOR -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and First Lady Iriana Widodo met with dozens of children who are cancer survivors at Bogor Presidential Palace. The children from Indonesian Childhood Cancer Foundation (YKAI) looked cheerful. They also involved in a question and answer session with the president.

On the occassion, Jokowi motivated the cancer survivors children to continue their activities with full of spirits. He said they must have dreams, because dreams awake the spirit.

"Children must have dreams and spirits," said Jokowi on Friday (April 6).

Jokowi appreciated the parents of cancer survivors children. He also thanked the Indonesian Child Cancer Foundation and all the companion who have been providing support and encouragement for the children.

"Hopefully all the encouragement and help given will encourage our children to keep their big dreams," Jokowi added.
