REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Chairman of Golkar Party Youth Movement Group (GMPG), Ahmad Doli Kurnia assessed there were a lot of oddities behind Setya Novanto on Thursday (November 16)" href="http://en.republika.co.id/berita/en/national-politics/17/11/17/oziyzt414-setnov-is-unconscious-after-his-car-hit-electricity-pole" target="_blank">car accident experienced by House of Representatives (DPR) speaker Setya Novanto on Thursday (November 16).

First of all, Doli commented on the car Novanto used. He said, it was not a typical car that Novanto would usually pick.

"He has glamorous lifestyle and he is very wealthy. I never saw him driving Toyota Fortuner. It's not his class," he said in a written statement on Friday.

Secondly, Doli said, Novanto always accompanied by an aide and policemen who secure the road every time he made a trip.

On Wednesday (November 15) night, Novanto accompanied only by his aide named Reza and Metro TV's stringer Hilman Mattauch as driver.

Thirdly, Doli did not believe that Novanto was on a rush. Moreover, a day before the accident he went missing to avoid KPK investigators who waited at his house. An arrest warrant has been issued by KPK on the same day.

The strangest thing was seen on the damage of Fortuner car with police number B 1732 ZLO. By observing the damage, he categorized the accident as a light one.

"We can see it was a minor accident and just like accidentally crashed, so no one could be seriously injured," Doli said.

Lastly, electricity pole struck by the car is still standing like never been hit.

He suspected the accident was a created for a purpose.

"It looks like the car was planned to get crashed. It was a made-up accident," he said.

Novanto went missing on Wednesday (November 15) afternoon. Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators waited for him for hours in his house at Wijaya XIII Street number 19, South Jakarta as the arrest warrant has been issued.

On early Thursday (November 16), the investigators left Novanto's house with empty hands. They asked Novanto to surrender.

24 hours after issuing arrest warrant, KPK still did not hear anything from Novanto. They then decided to put the suspect of e-ID card graft case into wanted list (DPO).
