King Salman to deliver speech at parliament building

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Saudi Arabian King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud is scheduled to deliver his speech in front of the members of Indonesian Parliament here on Thursday (March 2).

According to the tentative schedule issued by the Secretary General of House of Representatives (DPR), King Salman is scheduled to arrive at the Parliament building at 01.00 pm local time.

King Salman will be received by the House of Representative Speaker, Setya Novanto, who will deliver his speech prior to the King Salman's.

All members of Parliament, along with several coordinating ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Minister of Religious Affairs are expected to attend the meeting with King Salman in the Parliament building.

Some leaders of Indonesian political parties alse scheduled to welcome King Salman, among them Megawati Soekarnoputri, the leader of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), and Prabowo Subianto, chairman of Gerindra party. 

"Hopefully Madam Mega will attend this meeting. Last night I checked, she will come," said Novanto ini parliament buliding.

Journalists have been standby to cover the arrival of the Saudi King during his historical visit to Indonesia.
