"This amount (the passengers) of 39 domestic and international flights, arrivals and departures, delayed at Ngurah Rai Airport," Ngurah Rai Airport spokesman Arie Ahsanurrohim said in Bali on Saturday.

Ahsanurrohim said, the number of passengers could increase to 8,000 passengers due to the variety of models and sizes of aircrafts in the airport. For international flights, as many as eight departures and nine arrivals delayed. And for domestic flights as many as eight arrivals and 14 departures.

To avoid saturation of the passengers in the delay, management of International Airport I Gusti Ngurah Rai planned to perform a traditional dance to entertain the passengers affected.

"The entertainment will be displayed in the domestic and international terminals," Arie said.

Angkasa Pura also has established cooperation with the airlines, air navigation and ground handling officers for handling of passengers affected by the flight delays. Meanwhile, to avoid accumulation of vehicles, the airport also deployed officers and managed traffic in and out the terminal.
