Minister meets oldest Indonesian hajj pilgrim aged 101

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAKKAH -- The oldest Indonesian hajj pilgrim Siti binti Mian (101 years old) was able to gave quick and clear answer when asked questions by Minister of Religious Affairs Lukman Hakim Saifuddin. Her answer is spontaneous, marked she can hear normally.

"What's your name?" Lukman asked. The old woman immediately replied, "Siti".

"How are you, Grandma?" Lukman said.

Siti grandmother replied, "I am fine. Alhamdulilah (Thank God), food and beverage in this place are good,"

she said.

"Did you circumambulating the Kaaba?" Lukman asked. Siti affirmed, "Yes, I did, but I am not count".

"Did you sa'i?" Lukman asked again and answered "Yes, I did".

"Did you have grandson?" Lukman asked again. Siti binti Mian answered, "I have eight grandchildren."

Spontaneous and warm conversation occurred while Lukman visited the lodge, where Siti binti Mian stayed, Wednesday (7/9), at the Burj Al Ihsan, Aziziah, Makkah. 

Dialog among two different generations revealed that Siti binti Mian is the oldest of Indonesian hajj pilgrims.

Siti wished that herself, Lukman, and all of Indonesian hajj pilgrims stay healthy. Women from Cilandak, South Jakarta, grouped in Jakarta-Pondok Gede and arrived in Saudi Arabia on Friday, August 19, 2016. Before worship in Makkah, she had worship Arbain in Medina.

Siti went pilgrim with her son and daughter-in-law, Tanih and Tia. This is the first time for them after waiting hajj for years.

Despite being more than 100 years old, she is still in healthy condition.

Her bracelet is green. This means Siti not included in the high risk hajj pilgrims. All the time, she recite the Quran.

Siti is now preparing to undergo the standing at Arafah. Together with her family, she will be leaving for Arafat on the 10th of September and then to Muzdalifah and throwing jumrah in Mina.
