Police identify two killed members of Santoso

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Firefight between military-police and terorist group Santoso happened again on Sunday (15/5) afternoon.

Allegedly two members of the terrorist Santoso or Abu Wardah killed.

Chief of Indonesia National Police General Badrodin Haiti said, a shootout occurred in the Mountains Uwe Mayea, Poso, Sulawesi.And two members of Santoso killed. He added, until now the two corpses are still unidentified.

"We still identify who are they," said Badrodin at Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Monday (15/5).

He added, the corpses can not be known because the two are not having the identity when shootout occurred. So, need further examination. The bodies of the two men are currently located in Palu, Central Sulawesi.

The members of terrorist group headed by Santoso currently is estimated dozens who were still hiding in the mountains.

"Around 22-23 members," he said.
