REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PALEMBANG -- Tourists visiting Palembang to watch the total solar eclipse can enjoy breakfast menus being offered by hotels along the city's landmark, the Ampera Bridge, on March 9.
Head of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association for Palembang region Erlan Aspiudin stated that all hotels in Palembang will be serving their assortment of culinary items for breakfast on the Ampera Bridge to accommodate the guests witnessing the total solar eclipse.
The Ampera Bridge has been chosen to be the location to witness the natural phenomenon that occurs every 33 years in Indonesia.
Every hotel in Palembang has been making preparations to serve breakfast on the bridge that spans across the Musi River.
Besides serving hotel cuisine, various modes of transportation to reach the bridge are also being readied to facilitate the tourists.
Swarna Dwipa Hotel Palembang's CEO Augie Benyamin stated that his hotel is ready to offer the necessary transportation.
The city officials would also close the bridge to vehicular traffic once the total solar eclipse occurs.
