REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Indonesian flag carrier, Garuda Indonesia, is increasing its business class capacity by presenting two newest aircraft, the Airbus A330-300 with the first Super Diamond Seat Business Class and the tenth Boeing 777-300ER.

The Airbus A330-300 with Super Diamond Seat Business Class number PK-GPZ is the first of four Airbus A330-300s which will be received this year, Garuda Indonesia's President Director M Arif Wibowo said here Monday.

The Boeing 777-300ER number PK-GIK, was the last of ten aircrafts ordered by Garuda Indonesia in 2013, he added.

"The arrival of these two planes is an effort to build a modern fleet, as well as expanding and improving Garuda Indonesia flight network in Asia Pacific region, the Middle East, and Europe," he said.

As a five star airline carrier, security and comfort of passengers is an obligation that must be met by Garuda, according to Arif.

The presence of two new aircraft to the fleet is believed to provide Garuda's added value for all its customers, he said.

The Super Diamond Seat Business Class service will be integrated with the concept of Garuda Indonesia Experience, Arif added.

The Airbus A330-300 can fly 15,000 kilometers or up to 12 hours of non-stop flying, with a capacity of 287 seats, consisting of 24 for business class with Super Diamond Seat and 263 seats for economy class, he explained.

The tenth Boeing 777-300ER has a capacity of 393 seats comprising of 26 business class and 367 seats of economy class, Arif said.

By the end of 2016, Garuda Indonesia Group will operate 188 aircrafts, of which 144 are for Garuda Indonesia and 44 fleets for Citilink, a subsidiary of Garuda.
