REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDA ACEH -- The Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand, plans to facilitate the promotion of Kerawang Gayo and Didong cloth patterns from Aceh among the people of Thailand.

"We are ready to facilitate the promotion of Karawang Gayo and Didong Gayo cloth in Thailand," Indonesian diplomat Subandrio, on behalf of the Indonesian ambassador to Thailand, stated in Bangkok on Wednesday.

Subandrio welcomed the representatives of the Family Welfare Development Team and Women Service of Central Aceh Province at the embassy office in Bangkok.

The embassy has offered its services to the Acehnese people to promote the Gayo Arabica coffee and Karawang Gayo and Didong Gayo cloth patterns in Bangkok.

"We welcome the visit of the people of Central Aceh to the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok. We will provide a hall and transportation to promote the local crafts and culinary arts," Subandrio noted.

Additionally, Chairman of the Family Welfare Development Team of Central Aceh Apini Nasaruddin stated that the purpose of the visit to Bangkok was to foster friendship and to gain experience and gather information from the Women Service of the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok.

"There are several things that we can learn from the women community at the embassy in Bangkok," Nasaruddin pointed out.

Nasaruddin said the institution was also willing to promote the natural beauty of Central Aceh.

The province is also the producer of the best Gayo Arabica coffee.
