REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk announced a leadership transition plan, nominating Hans Patuwo as its new chief executive officer (CEO). His appointment will be presented for approval at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGM) on December 17, 2025. Hans is set to replace Patrick Walujo, who resigned after serving as President Director since June 2023.
The company described these nominations and transitions as part of a carefully designed succession process prepared by the Board of Directors, underscoring GoTo’s commitment to maintaining stability, strategic continuity, and operational strength as it enters the next stage of growth toward sustainable profitability.
GoTo President Commissioner Agus Martowardojo said that since taking office in June 2023, Patrick has guided GoTo through a transformation that strengthened its financial fundamentals, sharpened operational priorities, and clarified its long-term direction.
“I also congratulate Hans on his nomination as President Director of GoTo. His extensive experience within the ecosystem and his dedication to the welfare of driver-partners and business partners make him an ideal leader to take GoTo forward,” Agus said in a statement on Monday (24/11/2025).
Patrick Walujo, GoTo’s President Director, noted that the team’s collective efforts have been crucial in placing the company in a stronger position. He also congratulated Hans, who has played a significant role in GoTo’s development for nearly a decade.
“His strong leadership and integrity make Hans the right person to guide GoTo into a new chapter,” Patrick said.
Hans brings nearly eight years of experience across Gojek, GoPay, and later GoTo, having overseen several key business lines. He joined Gojek in 2018 as chief operating officer with a focus on driver and transport partner operations—strengthening one of the ecosystem’s core pillars. Hans also played a strategic role in building and expanding GoTo Financial (GTF), leading it as President and helping position it among Indonesia’s top fintech platforms.
Currently serving as chief operating officer and President of On-Demand Services (ODS), Hans oversees all ecosystem operations. His leadership has driven growth, improved efficiency, and enhanced profitability through data-driven operational discipline. Before joining Gojek, he worked in the United States, China, and Singapore with various multinational companies, including as a partner at the consulting firm McKinsey.
Alongside the CEO transition, GoTo also announced several changes in its management and Board of Commissioners. Ade Mulyana, Director of Public Affairs and Communications, has resigned to focus on family commitments and other professional pursuits outside GoTo.
Commissioners Pablo Malay and Winato Kartono have also submitted their resignations. Andre Soelistyo and Santoso Kartono have been nominated to fill the vacant seats. Both bring strategic experience and deep expertise in technology and investment, which will reinforce the Board of Commissioners’ supervisory and governance functions.
