SAR: Total victims of KM Marina 63 people

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, KENDARI -- National SAR Agency (Basarnas) in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi stated that so far death toll of KM Marina accident in North Kolaka water reached 63 people.

"Since the search for victims of KM Marina last 19th December until today, the total deaths that were found reached 63 people," said Public Relation of Basarnas, Wahyudin, in North Kolaka, Thursday (24/12) night.

He added, passengers of KM Marina who survived were 40 people. So that total passenger found were 103 people.

Based on the manifest, he explained, the number of passengers of KM Marina when departed in North Kolaka Port, Southeast Sulawesi, were 118 people, consisting of 106 public passengers, 10 crews, and two canteens guards. So that there were still 15 people missing.

"Tomorrow we will continue to do the search," he said.

KM Marina 2B sank on 19th December in the waters of Gulf of Bone, when departed from North Kolaka Port Bansalae Port, Wajo, South Sulawesi.
