REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Incumbent candidates were predicted to win regional head elections 2015 in almost all regions. This was based on the results of a quick count conducted by several survey institutes.
"This election is belonging to incumbent candidates," said Coordinating Committee of Voters Indonesia (Tepi) Jeirry Sumampow, in a press release, Wednesday (9/12).
In fact, the vote of incumbent candidates was exceeding their opponents. It happened in some areas, such as South Tangerang (Banten), Surabaya (East Java), Siak (Riau), and Central Sulawesi.
Jeirry said money politics in simultaneous election 2015 were still rampant, conducted by regional head candidates' successful team.
"It certainly makes the quality of simultaneous election 2015 decreased," he added.
