REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) said there would be a total of 35 companies which will go public with an initial public offering (IPO) through Indonesian capital market, next year. It had been stated in Annual Work Plan and Budget (RKAT) 2016 approved in General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPSLB).
"The determination was based on economic indicators that have been recovered in the next year," said President Director of BEI, Tito Sulistio, in the Stock Exchange Building, Wednesday (28/10).
He expected, by reaching 35 number of market issuers, capitalization value will also increase. Currently, the value was still in the range of Rp 4.800 trillion. He hoped, BEI could raise by 10 to 20 percent of price and number of issuers.
"Actually, our market capitalization should be above Rp 5,509 trillion, even Rp 6,000 trillion," he added.
In this case, he revealed subsidiary of state-owned companies have been considering to increase number of issuers on the exchange. There would be two subsidiaries of state-owned companies that are interested in doing an IPO next year.
While, this year, from the target of 22 number of issuers, BEI could only bring 14 issuers on the exchange. However, he believed until the end of the year, the number of issuers would be added.
