Secretary of Special Unit of Oil and Gas (SKK Migas), Budi Agustyono, explained that for the period from January to September 2015, the average production was 783,000 barrels per day or 95 percent of the production target in the State Budget 2015.

"For gas, the production is likely to stagnate in 8,000 million cubic feet per day," said Agus, Thursday (17/9).

In total production, the average production of oil and natural gas was 2.21 million barrels per day. Budi was optimistic, the average production would continue to increase until the end of the year with the completion of several oil and gas projects.

"Oil and gas industry are required to work hard to reach the oil lifting target set by the government," he added.

The realization of state revenue, by 4th September 2015, stood at 10.03 billion US dollars or around Rp 140 trillion. This amount was about 67 percent of a revenue target of 14.99 billion US dollars.

He said, the achievement of national targets was not easy because there were obstacles in the implementation. In the middle of the decline of world oil prices, oil and gas industry was required to implement operating cost efficiency.

Renegotiation with subcontractors could be done in order to provide flexibility. Alternatively, we could change field scenario to be simpler and make collaboration with oil and gas companies in adjacent territory, such as sharing the use of materials and equipment.
