105 movies from 29 countries to enliven Balinale Film Festival

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID,  JAKARTA -- 9th Bali International Film Festival (Balinale) would be held and showed various movies from different countries.

Taking the theme "Face of Diversity", the festival would take place at Kuta Lippo Mall on 24th to 30th September. A total of 105 movies from 29 countries would be screened during the festival.

"It really is a form of diversity of cultural, offered by the participating countries," said Director of Balinale Film Festival, Deborah Gabinneti, in a press conference, Tuesday (15/9), in Jakarta.

Deborah said the organizing of Balinale would be more diverse. There would be two world movies premiere at the festival.

"The number of Indonesian movies are also increased, from last year which only six movies to 26 movies," he said.

One thing that would be different was the Open Air Cinema or watching movies together in an open area that would be an attractive offer for movie goers. A number of directors and actors of international film industry would also present.

The opening movie was "Gueros (2014)" by Alonso Ruiz Palacios (Mexico). While "Chemo (Chemia)" by BartoszProkopowicz (Poland) would be the closing film of the festival.
