REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JEDDAH -- President Joko Widodo was awarded the King Abdulaziz Medal, which was given by King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz. The conferment was scheduled to take place at Al-Salam Palace Diwan Malaki, Jeddah, Saturday (12/9) 15:35 pm local time.

Cabinet Secretary, Pramono Agung, said that the award was a tribute to Indonesia. "The president gave appreciation to King of Saudi Arabia, the King even picked Jokowi up on plane at the gate," said Pramono.

He added, the President expressed his gratitude for the award. There also will be embedding the mark of honor for the president in the state palace.

In Saturday (12/9), the President was scheduled to follow 13 agenda includes meetings with business communities and several ministers of Saudi Arabia.
