REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Chairman of the People Consultative Assembly (MPR), Zulkifli Hasan, said that there are three aspects that could encourage national development. The three aspects are human resources, transportation, and energy.
Zulkifli said that currently Indonesia is conducting several development in all fields. Indonesia had more experiences, for instance, in the 1970s and 1980s, Indonesia's development relied on the export of timber.
In 1990s, the development of Indonesia focused on the utilization of raw natural resources. Therefore, Zul said that the development cannot rely only to human resources.
“The challenges of development do not only depend on human resources. Energy, transportation, and qualified human resources are the key of the development progress,” he said in his speech in the Plenary Session of MPR 2015, in Jakarta, Friday (14/8).
Energy can support the development of transportation. While, transportation is important in improving productivity, increase employment, and state revenue, because the need for foods cannot be avoid.
