President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) sworn in six new ministers

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo swore-in five new ministers and a cabinet secretary at the State Palace, Wednesday (12/8). The new ministers consists of three coordinating ministers and two ministers.

Under the presidential decree No. 79/P 2015 on the replacement of some ministers of state Cabinet of Work remaining period of 2014-2019, there were five ministers were replaced and removed.

Luhut Pandjaitan replaced Tedjo Edhy Purdijatno as Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Law. Darmin Nasution replaced Sofyan Djalil as Coordinating Minister for Economy. Rizal Ramli replaced Indroyono Soesilo as Coordinating Minister for Maritime.

President Jokowi then pointed Thomas Lembong as Minister of Trade, replacing Rahmat Gobel. He also pointed Sofyan Djalil as Minister of National Development Planning, replacing Andrinof Chaniago.

Jokowi also pointed Pramono Agung as cabinet secretary, replacing Andi Widjajanto. Pramono Anung was appointed the Presidential Decree Number 80/P 2015.

These six new officials sworn-in in front of President Jokowi, Vice President Jusuf Kalla, a number of other Cabinet Ministers and leaders of state institutions.
