REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Coordinator of Public Service Monitoring Division of Indonesian Corruption Watch (ICW), Febri Hendri, suggested for holding of the cooperation between the selection committee team with the verification team and a number of agencies in conducting screening community feedback. Even so, the selection committee must be able to maintain objectivity in such cooperation.

"In addition to the verification team, the selection committee team should begin ask for input from several agencies such as State Intelligence Agency (BIN) and the police to trace the results of public response. Because, of course there are a lot of information about candidates which needs to be explored further. The selection committee team itself could not explore all the input," said Febri when contacted ROL, on Wednesday, July 22.

He reminded that the selection committee team had to maintain objectivity during cooperated with government agencies. It did not close the possibility there were interests were included when several agencies help provide the information about the candidates.

"It's important that there is a separate verification team. Some people could be included as well to track against one candidate. The results can be analyzed and combined with information provided by several agencies," he explained further.

As is known, the general public may provide a response to the 48 candidates of KPK leaders, either through the official website of the State Secretariat or sent by post. The response could be a neutral evaluation, positive and negative against the candidates.

Feedback giving will be closed on August 3. People were advised to provide information that has supporting data.
