REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The police revealed that the number of victims who died as a result of a train accident in Bekasi increased to 15 people. This is the latest news that the police updated around 14.00 pm.

“Yes. 15 died,” Kabid Dokkes of Metro Jaya Kombes Polda Pol Martinus Ginting told reporters on Tuesday (28/4/2026).

For the casualty figures, police were still collecting them as of this afternoon. “If that data exists, I'm afraid it will be wrong, later,” Martinus said.

Of the 15 victims who died, as many as 10 of them are already in Kramat Jati Police Hospital for identification.

The identification process is still ongoing to date. The police only confirmed that the victim died was female.

“We will announce it again, it will be announced soon. All women,” Prima said.

To speed up identification, Metro Jaya Police embraced a team from Bekasi Police Station. “There is, from the police station there. Bekasi Police Station, Metro Police, Pusiden also exist. We work together,” Prima said.
