Jokowi waits for input from Finance Minister about the aspiration funds

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Member of President Communications Team, Teten Masduki mentioned that President Jokowi still waiting for the opinion of Finance Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro to determine the attitude related to aspiration funds.

"The president will ask for input from the finance minister first," he said at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta, on Thursday, June 25.

Teten was reluctant to talk further about the aspiration funds. Meanwhile, Finance Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro claimed not have yet received funding proposals from the parliament related to program which recently approved. Therefore, he could not comment.

"Until now we have not received anything, so there's nothing to be discussed," said Bambang.

Previously, Minister for National Development Planning Andrinof Chaniago said that President Jokowi did not agree with the aspiration funds because it does not comply with the law.

Nevertheless, according to him, Jokowi did not explicitly voice his opposition to the program.

Andrinof said, until now the president has not been discussed with relevant ministries about the aspiration funds.

"In particular, have not been discussed. But the president urged on us all to run the policy according to the Law," he said.
