REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The positive performance of BUMN showed by noting the increase in dividends for the country in 2024. If in 2023, dividends paid to the state reach the range of Rp 81.2 trillion, now in 2024 the figure rises to Rp 85.5 trillion.
PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) recorded the largest dividend deposit with Rp 25.7 trillion. Followed by Bank Mandiri (Rp 17.1 trillion), Mind ID (Rp 11.2 trillion), Pertamina (Rp 9.3 trillion), Telkom (Rp 9.2 trillion), BNI (Rp 6.2 trillion), PLN (Rp 3 trillion), Pupuk Indonesia (Rp 1.2 trillion), Pelindo (Rp 1 trillion), and BTN (Rp 420 billion) as 10 big SOEs are the biggest dividend contributors.
The dividends that SOEs have deposited as of November 7, 2024 in the country have increased the state's income. Thus, the state income from state-owned dividends reached 100 percent.
The Ministry of state-owned enterprises appreciated the performance of a number of state-owned enterprises. “Of course, this is not separate from the efforts made by all managers, employees and also supported by a number of relevant ministries,” the Ministry of state-owned enterprises wrote on Friday (22/11/2024).
Minister of state-owned enterprises Erick Thohir, also appreciated the positive performance of SOEs that were able to increase income deposits in the state. But Erick insists that this performance can improve again with a number of transformation efforts that SOEs continue to make.
“Thank you for the positive performance that SOEs have recorded so far. But I believe this performance can be even better along with SOE's passion to maximise existing potential while exploring new opportunities. So the key is not only to utilize existing sources of income, but to explore and innovate to unlock new revenue potential,” Erick said in his statement, Saturday (11/23/2024).
The increase in dividends is a positive injection for Prabowo's government, which wants to raise state income in various sectors. This increase in dividends also proves the consistency of improving SOE business performance, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic.
For the dividend target of 2025, which has been decided by the Government and DPR RI of Rp 90 Trillion, the Ministry of BUMN is optimistic that it can achieve this target. It is with regard to the performance of SOEs up to this November that continue to record positive figures.
