REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BRUSSELS -- Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is scheduled to meet the leaders of the European Board, European Commission, and European Parliament and King of the Kingdom of Belgium Philippe in Brussels on Thursday.
Presidential Communication Team member Ari Dwipayana stated in a press release that President Jokowi will hold a series of meetings with the presidents of the European Parliament, European Commission, and European Board.
President Jokowi will meet King of the Kingdom of Belgium Philippe at the Belgian Royal Palace.
President Jokowi and his entourage arrived in Brussels, Belgium, on Wednesday (April 20) at about 6:50 p.m. local time or 11:50 p.m. (West Indonesia Standard Time).
On arrival at the Abelag International Airport, Brussels, President Jokowi was welcomed by the chief of protocol of the Kingdom of Belgium, Indonesian ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and Sandra Thamrin, and several staff members of the Indonesian Embassy in Brussels.
During the visit, President Jokowi was accompanied by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Nasution, Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi, Trade Minister Thomas Lembong, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Agung, and Head of Investment Coordinating Board Franky Sibarani.
After meeting the king of Kingdom of Belgium, President Jokowi and his entourage are scheduled to head to the airport to depart from Belgium for the Netherlands to continue the visit to other European countries.
