REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Legal team of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigator Novel Baswedan, revoked lawsuit related searches and seizure. Revocation was done after the objections of the defendant (Police) and the suggestion of a single judge, Darmi.

"Actually, our rights to make improvements are still possible. Judges give one day to provide answers to the defendant. So we consider the defendant to give a good answer," said Pratiwi Febry, Novel’s attorney, after the hearing in the District Court (PN) of South Jakarta, on Tuesday, June 9.

When the trial took place, the defendant objected to the petition file for which was read. Because, the petition was read different with petition file dated on May 11 with the call of hearing on Monday, June 8.

Respondent insisted that the applicant to revoke one petition file. It was to be a reference to answer the petition. The judge also considered, the file which was read, was not file that have been repaired. So, the judge suggested to the applicant to revoke the lawsuit and re-register.

Pratiwi said, the issue of differences in the date of the petition file which was read with the previous was the technical matters. So the repairs could also be done directly.

By doing so, said Pratiwi, the defendant should not have to confuse related to the file which will be used. Because, Pratiwi affirmed, the issue of date difference was not the substance, as understood by the defendant.

"Well, we take a positive side that the defendant took the time to answer," said Pratiwi.

Revocation lawsuit will officially be done tomorrow, on Wednesday, June 10. While the re-registration, Pratiwi said, in this week.
