REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, NUNUKAN -- Defense Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu is scheduled to visit border posts in the regions between Indonesia and Malaysia in Nunukan district, North Kalimantan, on June 4 and 5.
The minister's plan to observe the border posts was revealed by Lt. Col. Agustatius Sitepu, the commander of the Border Security Taskforce of the Julu Siri/433 Airborne Infantry Battalion, here on Monday.
"The latest information we have is that the defense minister will arrive in Nunukan district on June 4 and will observe a number of border security posts," Sitepu said.
He added that Ryacudu was also scheduled to lay the cornerstone for the development of a border post in Seimenggaris Baru sub-district, Nunukan district.
He will then visit the Sei Kaca post in Sekaduyan Taka, Seimenggaris, the Ajikuning post in Sebatik Tengah sub-district, the Sei Pancang post in Sebatik Utara, and the Sei Bajau post in Sebatik Timur.
