Tangerang residents donate 1,14 billion IDR for Palestinians

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TANGERANG -- The event of Concert of 7 City (K7K) Volume VIII of the National Committee for Palestinian People (KNRP) in Tangerang city, Banten province, managed to raise a donation of 1,140 billion IDR for Palestina.

"The mandate given by Banten residents, will be distributed back to the Palestinians, whether in Gaza, the West Bank and Palestinian refugees residing in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Turkey," said Chief Executive of KNRP Caca Cahayaningrat, on Monday, May 18.

He said, KNRP greatly appreciate Banten people's awareness which have successfully raised large enough donations, including by providing other valuable items in the form of dozens of gold rings.

 

At the end of April 2015, Caca continued, KNRP together with Opick were distributed aids to patients of Israeli aggression in Gaza and Palestinian refugees coming from Syria with a total of 12.3 billion IDR of aids through NGOs Yolu or Ath Thariq Al Hayat.

"Furthermore, any additional aids were granted by KNRP Chairman, Soeripto and General Secretary KNRP Heri Efendi while visiting the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. So the total distributions of humanitarian aids from the Indonesian people were about 15 billion IDR in April 2015,"said Caca.

 

Meanwhile, Chairman of KNRP Banten, Amrozi M. Rais, was quite surprised by the results of the acquisition of donations for the Palestinian people in the RTC and K7K Banten.

"We are very grateful to the value which exceeded the target, Alhamdulillah," said Amrozi who also observer of Middle East.

Related to the long-term program of KNRP Banten on 'Build Back School in Gaza', Amrozi said, according to data KNRP have, there are about 300 schools that will be supported from Banten residents to rebuild schools destroyed by the brutal Zionist aggressions on last 2014.

"Of course, this program is aligned with the central of KNRP program which has provided humanitarian assistance to a number of important programs in Gaza, the West Bank and the Palestinian refugees," he said.
