REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM) will reveal its investigation findings regarding the alleged criminalization of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) leaders before the House of Representatives (DPR) members at the Parliament Building.

Commissioner of Komnas HAM Roichatul Aswidah stated that the Commission planned to meet the legislators in the DPR's Commission III to divulge its investigation findings here on Wednesday.

"This morning, in the DPR's Commission III," Roichatul Aswidah informed Antara in a short text message.

On January 26, 2015, the Komnas HAM had set up a team to investigate the alleged criminalization of KPK leaders.

The team comprises 22 members, including eight commissioners of Komnas HAM.

On January 27, the team called KPK Commissioner Bambang Widjojanto to obtain information regarding his arrest by the National Police's Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim).

On the same day, the team visited the KPK office to collect more data and information from other KPK leaders.

The Komnas HAM paid a visit to the National Police Headquarters to seek information from Deputy Police Chief Commissioner General Badrodin Haiti, on January 28.

On the next day, the Komnas HAM met Jimly Asshiddiqie, the deputy chairman of the Independent Team set up by President Joko Widodo, to help find solutions to the KPK-Police conflict.

On January 30, the Commission questioned new Chief of Bareskrim Inspector General Budi Waseso regarding the recent detention of Bambang Widjojanto by Bareskrim, for about 18 hours.

Nur Kholis, the chairman of the Komnas Ham's team, revealed that the team has collected all information and data to investigate whether the arrest of Bambang Widjojanto has violated human rights.

Bareskrim recently denied claims that the naming of Bambang Widjojanto as a suspect was a retaliatory move against the KPK for naming Commissioner General Budi Gunawan as a suspect, just a day after President Joko Widodo announced the appointment of Gunawan as the sole police chief candidate.
