Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board goes online

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) launched online service for investment license. The system was issued on Monday, December 15.

"Commencing 15 December 2014, services of investment license and non license that are issued by BKPM's One-Stop-Service are done online," Chairman of BKPM Franky Sibarani said. Investors must only register via BKPM's website.

Sibarani said the new system speed up the license process up to three days. He guaranteed that license permit would issue in less than ten days.

BKPM is preparing a formula to integrate all licenses within the ministries. Sibarani expects BKPM to serve all licenses in January. Currently, there 1,249 licenses in ministries and institutions.

"We will start by serving 500," he said.
