REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PEKANBARU -- Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that nobody within the body lying about naming former Vice President Boediono as a suspect. The statement is issued to counter parliament demand which asked member of KPK telling lie on Boediono case to step down.

"No one lied about the status of former Vice President Boediono in Bank Century case," KPK spokesman Johan Budi said on Sunday, December 7.

The statement issued during the launch of a white paper on corruption eradication at the provincial legislative building in Pekanbaru, Riau. Later, Johan Budi denied the statement.

"We never name Boediono as a suspect. Chairman of KPK Abraham Samad also said that KPK did not name Boediono as suspect," Budi said.

Vice Chairman of Commission III at the House of Representatives Desmond J Mahesa asked the member of KPK who lied on Boediono case to step down. Mahesa said that Praja was right to announce the status of Boediono if the case was true. However, Johan Budi and other KPK elites denied the statement.
