REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Minister of Finance, Chatib Basri said that government was not easy to fix trade balance deficit, especially when commodity prices declined compared to the export earnings. Indonesia still has a chance in line with economic improvement in United States.

This condition will improve the export value to US. Basri estimated that the current account deficit would still below 26 billion USD.

"There will be additional revenue of mineral ore exports," Basrie said on Tuesday.

According to Basri, many countries experienced the economic slow down. Indonesia's economic growth of about 5.2 percent is still better than other countries, such as Brazil and Singapore.

India only recorded 5.7 percent of economic growth, while China at 7.5 percent. He estimated that Indonesia would still experience a slow down of economic growth.
