REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, GORONTALO -- Ipilo and Bugis villages in Gorontalo were inundated following incessant heavy rainfall in the areas on Friday.

"The water has risen since last night, but we have anticipated by moving our belongings to higher places," Diana, an inhabitant of Bugis village, said here on Saturday.

The floodwaters reached a height of between 30 cm and 60 cm and submerged a number of houses following the overflowing of Bone River.
